Brief History

DON SHOMETTE is the creator of Safe & Loved.
He didn’t make it sitting behind a desk. 

Through rigorous trial and error, it was methodically developed over thirty years preventing violence in schools. He built it where it mattered most. Between bells, in real classrooms, with real teachers.
Right there in the thick of it. 

Between the coffee, chaos, and care.

It came to life during early mornings and lunchtime conversations about what to do with “that one kid,” and in the quiet chaos of classrooms where love had to show up louder than fear. It was born from listening, watching, working side-by-side with principals and educators. 

That’s why it works.
